Terry Pankratz

Terry Pankratz has more than 36 years in business and financial leadership in higher education. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), providing leadership of the University’s financial operations, including accounting and financial reporting; financial planning and resource allocation; procurement and payment services; payroll; the central business office; and shared information services.

Prior to joining UTD, Terry held chief financial officer roles at the University of North Texas System, Texas A&M University, and Texas A&M University-Commerce. He has led financial, information technology, auxiliary enterprise, and facilities management units, and successfully implemented enterprise-wide technology systems, strategic, financial, and capital planning programs, business process improvements, and organizational culture enhancements.

Terry has significant experience with risk management and crisis planning and response at multiple universities.  He also consults with colleges and universities on best practices in financial planning, operational effectiveness, and enhancing organizational culture to improve performance.
